S.J Contracting Ltd was founded by Roly Jones, a qualified builder with a strong passion for quality workmanship and practical, reliable solutions. Roly began working for himself in 2006 in the Abel Tasman and Motueka region, focusing on new builds and renovations. After qualifying at just 22 years old in 2004, he went on to become a Licensed Building Practitioner in 2012—the same year S.J Contracting was established as a limited company.

With over a decade of hands-on industry experience, Roly has built a reputation for delivering high-quality work backed by real knowledge of both construction and the logistics required to get projects completed efficiently—no matter how remote or complex the location.
